This video uses a sample from Green Day's DVD - Bullet in a Bible (2005) directed by Samuel Bayer. It’s an endless loop with the guitarist and lead singer Billie Joe Amstrong thanking the audience of over 130.000 people during their concert at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in June of 2005. The performer’s words of appreciation, through this gesture, evolve linguistically, becoming increasingly fluid. By way of infinite proliferation, words become abstract entities. This work brings the ontological arbitrariness of the linguistic sign to the fore.
